Course content:
The academic semester is divided into 4 teaching units (TU), subdivided in several subunits:
TU 1 (7 ECTS): General knowledge about horticultural industry and systems and profesionnal training
TU 2 (12 ECTS): Group project on the diagnostic of a horticultural system, the formulation of an innovation, the optimisation of the resulting system and its valorisation in the supply chain. The project follows a problem-based pedagogy
TU 3 (7 ECTS): Sustaining the sectors through risk management and resilience
TU 4 (4 ECTS): Initiate and support transitions

Expected previous knowledge:
M1 level with a background in plant sciences (genetics, physiology, biochemistry, plant pathology) and basic statistics. B2 level English proficiency.
Learning outcomes:
The curriculum aims to train engineers capable of ensuring the management or horticultural production entities, who know how to innovate and develop horticultural systems (fruits, vegetables, ornamental plants), from production (upstream) to marketing (downstream) .
