Course content:
The objective of the subject is to give students a knowledge on geographical distribution, floristic composition and vegetation ecology of tropical and subtropical plant ecosystems. Furthermore the course provides a current overview of human activity impact on phytocoenoses studied with special attention to sustainable use of plant resources.

Exam method:
To be eligible for the final exam the student must:
(1) Submit on time the Individual assignment (scientific article critic)
(2) Submit on time the Group assignment (ppt presentation on assigned topic)
(3) Participate actively in class debates on assigned topics.
(4) Participate actively in two excursions to Botanical Gardens
