Course content:
The course equips students with basic knowledge on tropical horticulture and floriculture. The course introduces students to the history of ornamental gardens, tropical garden design, most famous tropical gardens, and assortments of important groups of ornamental flowers: orchids, bromeliads, potted plants with ornamental leaf/flower, cut flowers, and plants for flower beds in gardens. The most prominent knowledge on the use, cultivation technology and propagation of these species will also be provided.

Exam method:
To be eligible for the final exam the student must: (1) Participate actively in classes. (2) Participate in the excursion to ornamental gardens. (3) Pass successfully the plant sample quiz
