During two field trip days the vegetation mosaic on different soils will be worked out.
Be sure to bring the following items with you to the field trip:
Writing material, identification books (Adler et.a. als well as picture flora guides such as Rothmaler Atlasband), magnifying glass, rain coat, lunch package with enough water.
If available: tape measure, compass, altimeter.

Learning outcomes:
On the basis of the knowledge gained in the course 831.103 “Vegetation ecology”, the methodological skills for the recording of vegetation are particularly employed during two field days.
After successful completion, the students have the ability to independently carry out vegetation relevés as well as to summarize and fundamentally classify vegetation relevés.

As a major course assessment, the students have to deliver group protocols for the two introduced habitats. In these protocols, the data (raw data table) gathered from the executed vegetation ecological methods are summarized and interpreted (phytosociological table).
