Expected previous knowledge:
The successful graduation from the course 831.132 “Seminar to the botanical-ecological excursion” is the basis for the participation on this excursion.
Learning outcomes:
The gained knowledge from this preparatory course enables the students to observe and describe botanical, faunistic, geologic, but also socio-economic aspects in detail. They are acquainted with basic techniques to describe the flora, fauna, vegetation and factors of the landscape and are able to apply these in practice (teamwork). The students can understand, assess and illustrate aspects of the biology and landscape ecology in their interdependence.
Exam method:
(immanent)
• Participation during the excursion (expert topic)
• General participation during the field work
• Written elaboration of a daily report (weighted 2x)
• Elaboration of a poster about a self-elected topic in teamwork (weighted 3x)
The achievements 3 to 4 are evaluated with regard to aspects of form and content. For each category, partial marks are given and averaged to the final grade. The weighting signifies that these categories are double respectively triple valued.
The written elaboration of the expert topic is done in the Seminar.
