Introduction to agricultural sciences
* Per unit 2 topics are being presented. Two professors will present aspects from their own research field. Presentations are followed by a discussion.
* Activity of students: participation in a critical discussion about the contents presented after each lecture.
* The most important messages of the topics presented are subject to the written exam.

Expected previous knowledge:
This is an introduction to the agricultural sciences!<br><br>Questions for the written exam are related to the contents of the lectures only.<br><br>The presentations will be recorded and posted on BOKUlearn afterwards. We will try, but can not guarantee, that all records will be uploaded after the lectures as soon as possible. It is therefore suggested to participate in the lectures.
Learning outcomes:
Introduction to agricultural sciences
Students will get a realistic picture of the bachelor's program Agricultural Sciences and will get an insight into the agricultural academic field, as well as into selected areas of research work.
The course belongs to the group of STEOP courses:
• information about the bachelor program (contents, history,...).
• orientation and assistance for freshman.
• provides a realistic picture of the programs' requirements ("Self-Assessment").

Lectures will be recorded and made available on BOKUlearn. Likewise, handouts (PDF) will be available for students on BOKUlearn but are exclusively for study use.
