Principles of experiments in crop production

Modelling crop production systems and their linking with agro-ecosystem models
- Methodological basics of systems and models
- Modelling potential crop growth and development
- Including soil physical elements and processes
- Using the agro-ecosystem model APSIM for cropping systems analysis
- Modelling at larger scales
Expected previous knowledge:
Basic knowledge in agronomy and crop physiology
Learning outcomes:
Students gain in depth knowledge about analysis and optimization of crop production systems with emphasis on a quantifying systems approach
