Course content:
Visit commercial horticulture facilities, learn about and analyse production strategies and technologies, especially with regard to sustainability, resource conservation, climate change and resilience.
If the COVID 19 situation is difficult or if the farms do not allow the visits, a substitute service is offered - e.g. a visit to the Jedlersdorf teaching and research centre or on-line tasks such as filming a farm.

Learning outcomes:
Farm visits, professional and horticultural knowledge in practical application, deepening of theoretical knowledge from lectures on vegetables and ornamental plant cultivation, taking into account sustainability, innovation and climate adaptation.
Teaching and learning methods:
Short report: Establishing a farm review, description, analysis and evaluation of the demonstrated crops and procedures. In the case of a critical COVID-19 situation, alternative containment methods are offered.
Exam method:
Written report (short report) on the visited facilities or on the offered replacement service in the critical COVID-19 situation.
