Course content:
The lecture and seminar is an advanced course of grapevine physiology with focus on selected abiotic stresses and will cover the following aspects:
- Presentation and discussion of selected abiotic stresses
- Discussion and analyses of the physiological reaction of the plant to abiotic stresses
- Stress signaling within the plant
- Adaptation of the primary and secondary metabolism of the plant
- Students analyze, present and discuss current research topics

Expected previous knowledge:
Students should have passed exams of VO & UE Weinbau, VO & UE Physiology of Grapevine<br>.
Learning outcomes:
- students recognise and understand the interplay of different abiotic stresses
- students can interprate the responses of plants to abiotic stresses
- students know the main stress signaling responses of plants
- students can develop management strategies to prevent abiotic stresses
- students can interprate and discuss internation peer-reviews publications
