Learning outcomes:
ï To gain knowledge about types and market of specific inputs for soilless culture systems, irrigation & fertigation management, innovations & trends in soilless culture
ï To assess the sustainability of soilless culture systems: agronomic and economic performance vs environmental impact
ï To identify the interacting phenomena under greenhouse
ï To identify and differentiate technologies and building materials used in greenhouses and shelters construction
ï Realistic case study: In class project work out the heating system of a greenhouse (needs calculation, componnent sizing and consumption estimation)
