* Concept of sustainability in horticultural systems, needs for monitoring tools and sustainability indicators
* Scientific bases, usage and limits of agro-environmental diagnostic tools (INDIGO, LCA, multi-criteria analyses, etc.)
* Introduction and examples of some indicators for evaluation of energy consumption and GHG emissions, soil quality, biodiversity etc.
* Environmental labels, accreditations as means to evaluate sustainable practices
* Visits to farms, production sites, and enterprises to discuss the concrete implementation of evaluation tools
