Course content:
The bases of fruit cultivation will be studied. Bases in morphology, phisiology and ecology of trees. Nursery plant techniques will be described and practiced. Specific particularities of agricultural techniques applied to fruit production will be studied: irrigation, fertilization, soil management, canopy management and harvest.
Expected previous knowledge:
Arboriculture. Ability to know, understand and use the principles of identification and characterization of tree species.
Learning outcomes:
At the end of this course the students will be able to determine the most important aspect of fruit production. They will be able to use the agricultural techniques for profitability and environmental respect.
